Who is Minta Bell Design Group?

Minta has always believed that interior design should be an interactive and fun experience. "From the beginning, we encourage our clients to be involved in the design process and to share their dreams with us. This relationship involves a remarkable evolution and effusion of ideas between our staff and the homeowners. We work so closely with them that at the end of the project, they don't know what ideas were theirs and what were ours. During our discussions, we listen and gain a genuine understanding of how they live and what they want their house to do for them and then we guide them through the process." The ultimate outcome is a signature look for each of their clients.

Minta Bell, graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, with a B.S.H.E. in interior design. Before starting her own firm, Minta worked for the Claude May Company in Durham where she quickly made a name for herself through hard work and visionary designs. Minta Bell founded Minta Bell Interior Design in 1971, eventually changing to Minta Bell Design Group to better encompass the spirit of her organization.

Beverly Harn Terry is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science/Public Administration. Beverly comes to Minta Bell Design Group with a multitude of talents and experience from her previous careers in the legal field as well as a flight attendant for Midway Airlines. Joining Minta Bell Design in 2001, she is the go-to gal for research, project management, and the daily function of the office. She has affectionately been called the nicest rabid dog I know by one of our furniture line reps. Beverly tracks all the orders and keeps the manufacturers and sub-contractors on task. Often times referred to as the Faux Designer, Beverly does much of the initial project research and is called upon often to be the memory for the group.
